To join and celebrate the passing of another year of independence, we created a photoshoot to showcase the beauty and culture of the Bahamas. We shot on location with local Francheska to represent the face of the Bahamas and its beauty. To paint the image of 'Queen' we choose body gems and beads to ornate the model and the image. Common items used in the local Bahamian festival Junkanoo. The colours saturating the images were taken from the Bahamian flag and the saturating sun, sand and sea witnessed in the tropical archipelago. The expressions of the model paints feelings of calmness and affection, along with pride and sternness.
