Working with the AIA Tennessee Convention Committee I developed the comprehensive graphics package for the 2009 AIA TN Convention graphics. To mark the state convention's return to Knoxville after over a decade in Nashville, I chose to use photography of the city's rich architectural heritage as a mainstay for the graphic language. Designed to be printed on a budget the entire graphic package was a 2 color job. Working very closely with the printers, we worked out a process of over-powdering the cover to create a feel for the brochure that was rich to the touch.
Cover Detail. A layering of words and ideas that all begin with the letters re that where in someway relevant to the ideas to be discussed in the convention make up the subtle visual texture of the cover.
