Akara: Knots of Nature
Absorbing the timeless trend of floral prints, this is a personal interpretation of the beauty of nature around us. This was the second collection undertaken as a part of the graduation project. The rugs produced here are of the size 5’ x 8’.
The theme of the collection is that of tropical florals. It is a challenging balance between treating a rug as an expression of art and as a subtle floor covering. The medium used to bring this expression to life is the rich technique of hand-knotted carpets.
