I love working in 3D - there's something very satisfying about pushing around clay,  carving wood, and pulling a needle and thread through fabrics.

Here's a good example of one of the polymer clay ornaments I enjoy doing. This snowman is about 2" tall.
And there's a pair of turtle/frog/flower candle holders - glazed low fire red clay, 2004. They're about 8" tall.

My dad, Burt Fleming, is a professional chainsaw carver but he often brings me little hand carved things to paint for him. Here's one example: a Santa cypress knee.
