GAME OVERVIEW
CONCEPT
The player finds himself in a futuristic spaceship, playing part in the mission Spatium99, which consists in finding new and improved transport methods between galaxies.

GAME STORY
NARRATIVE
Spatium99 is a space mission with the purpose of finding new and more efficient transport methods between galaxies. This is a first person game developed to be a Virtual Reality experience. The player takes the roll of an newly astronaut who has no experience and only a few knowledge of the mission nor the spaceship.

At the beginning of the game a cut scene is presented where the mission commander explains some things about the mission and then a tech assistant explains some rules for the game and some details about the spaceship. the video interferes and the player is transported to the spaceship and looses connection with the base.
GAME FLOW SUMMARY
Spatium99 is a space mission that happens on board the spaceship "Spex 7845" and the astronaut in charge of it is you (the player). After a meteor crash accident, the spaceship get damaged and the oxygen is running out. The player must find the way out of the spaceship by solving series of puzzles, before the oxygen runs out.

Solve puzzles, find hidden objects, crack codes, unlock doors and submerge yourself in the experience.
GAME FLOW SUMMARY
CHARACTER​​​​​​​
The main character of the game is the astronaut. He is a rookie and has no experience in space travel, however he wanted to volunteer for this mission. He is brave and determined to fulfill the mission.
GAME WORLD
General look and feel of the world
The scenario has a futuristic and modern style, with Sci Fi features. The player will feel in the future with much more advanced technology.

AREAS
Inside the ship there are different rooms. The cockpit, where the astronaut's chair and the control panel are located. In the control room are several interfaces with controls, information about the ship and and a hologram of the ship in the center of the room. There is also a hallway that takes you to the pod. In the hall there are boxes with cables and at the end there is the pod door. Finally, the pod is a small capsule with only a chair and a control table.
GAME EXPERIENCE
Once you put your VR headset on, you will be taken to a whole new world, there you will meet your crew and there will be an intro video. After the video ends you will need to explore the spaceship and interact with object and interfaces to find the way out of there.
As the game progresses, your oxygen level will be reduced and you will lose if you do not find the exit on time.
During the game you will feel thrill and pressure but just that will motivate you to continue and end the experience.
GAMEPLAY
MISSION
Escape the spaceship before the oxygen runs out (20 minutes).

OBJECTIVE
The objective of the game is to escape the spaceship with the pod before you run out of oxygen.

PLAY FLOW
The player is represented as an astronaut. The game starts with an introduction video and instructions where it explains how you can move through the ship to the context of the game and introduces it to the call of the hero's cycle, where it is shown that the ship had an accident, so you have to get out of there before your oxygen runs out.
PUZZLE STRUCTURE
In the game there are a series of puzzles that the player must solve. The first puzzle is that you must unlock the pin pad to take the key, which will open the pod. However, you should look for the code that unlocks the capsule that contains the key throughout the ship. The code will be hidden in the interfaces surrounding the hologram, and will be the ship's number (7845).
Once the pin pad is unlocked, the player must pass the key through the pod door reader. However it will come out that the connection was interrupted. That is when the player must open the doors of the boxes and connect the wires that are loose.
When the cables are connected, the player can enter the pod. To take off, the player will again be asked to enter a takeoff code, which will be hidden in the ceiling. Once the code has been entered, takeoff will begin and the player will have won the game.
MECHANICS
RULES
- To move you have to aim with your gaze and wait 2 seconds.
- To lift, activate or press elements in the scene, you have to press the button on your           headset.
- Interactive objects will be highlighted with another color when they are pointed at. 
- If you wish to return to the menu, look at the floor and press the button on your headset focusing on the text “Menu”.
- The following actions are:
   - Grab, keep and throw objects
   - Press buttons
   - Connect cables
   - Open doors
   - Transport all over the spaceship
CUT SCENE
There will only be one cut scene and it will be used to introduce the narrative at the beginning of the game. This will be the commander of the mission explaining some information and a tech assistant who will explain how the game works.
INTERFACE
Throughout the spaceship there will be interfaces that will make the player feel in a more futuristic environment. They will also be used to hide clues or indicate things.
TECHNICAL
TARGET HARDWARE
This game is designed for mobile phones with Android or IOS software accompanied by a Google Cardboard or other VR headset.

DEVELOPMENT AND HARDWARE SOFTWARE
The game was developed with Unity software using GoogleVR packages. All elements where modeled on Maya. FUI was made in Illustrator and animated in After Effects.
