Project Background
Nokia Pairup band is an interactive accessory in the form of wearable band used for sharing professional contacts in a formal environment such as official meetings, conferences, events etc.
It recognizes a conventional and natural gesture of handshake between two professionals and shares professional contact details via mobile phones. Professional data is imported from LinkedIn profile.
With information technology becoming cheaper, smaller and smarter every day, it stresses a need to form new modes of communication.
This Project was judged 1st in Poster Presentation at Nokia Confluence, 2013 (An All India University Event). It was a team effort with students from PESIT Bangalore and IIT Guwahati.
