I wanted to create an unconventional Lunar New Year poster. When I researched posters for inspiration every poster used red, orange, and yellow in the color scheme and nothing else. I wanted to steer away and try to make something original, yet still recognizable in terms of visual cliques. I wanted the colors to have a function rather than decoration. I used the bright colors as a focal point and created a dark blue background to act as the night sky.
