Student Project: Gerber Knife Packaging

This package design is centered around Gerber's Counterpart model pocket knife. This concept exposes the pocket clip to customers, allowing them to make a tactile connection, and at the same time allowing them to get a preview of how this knife can be their own counterpart.
After creating a plug from prototyping foam (Ren) I was ready to vacuum-form the PETG.
It took a few test trials to find the right heat time (17 seconds) but it was relatively easy to form a tight-edged, webbing-free part.
Graphics were cut out by hand and assembled with the PETG.
The package can be displayed either way the company wishes. Both sides feature the Gerber logo with the product name in large bold type. On one side you can view product specs and company info, on the other you can see your awesome future-Gerber-toating self.
