Digital illustration for art exhibition in homage to the victims of femicide in Nicaragua during 2019.
The exhibition had 27 female artists (of any medium) illustrate or paint in their own style, one of the victims of femicide during the period of Jan-Oct 2019; the main goal is to visualize them as more than just a figure, but rather honouring and remembering them as individuals that once had their own dreams and aspirations.
The person I got was Marisela, a 1-year-old girl from Nicaragua’s Caribbean.
My original proposal quoted Michelle Obama and her memorable statement "The measure of any society is how it treats its women and girls."
