Zommies: pop up shop

Zoomies was my take on a semester long project known as "the restaurant project" in which I was given a location and tasked with the challenge of creating a pop up restaurant that was not only unique and well designed but also made sense for that specific location and its residents. I was assigned The Navy Yard of Philadelphia, and after a few visits and a lot of research, I decided it would be appropriate to create a 1970's themed pop up restaurant that would cater towards the Urban Outfitters employees.

"Zoomies is a 1970’s inspired pop up shop where people are encouraged to do as they please, be who they are, kick back, relax, and feel comfortable on their break. The best part about Zoomies? It is dog friendly! There is an entire menu for your pupper when you visit this pop up, as well as a human menu featuring premium shakes and specialty fries."

A major thing that stood out to me when I visited the Navy Yard was that there wasn't enough junk food. Usually this would be a good thing, however everyone that I spoke to regarding what kind of food they wanted to see more of while at work was something quick and yummy that they could go to every now and then as a treat. A go-to snack eaten in the 1970's were shakes and fries, so I decided to base my menu around them! To learn more, please watch the video above!

Below I have included a few items that would be included in the Zoomies gift shop.
To go bottle with the logo embossed in glass.
To go bottle packaging.
Dog bandana.
Dog treats.
Matchbox.
The best way I could think of showing off this space was through an environmental design drawing. I based this space off of a 1970's house with some modern elements to make the guests that visit Zoomies feel right at home while on their breaks.
