Primed as one of the biggest celebration for a crazy party I pitched the idea of a party going off the rails to Spike TV and they loved it. We set up an extras shoot to have them in front of a cell block line up wall that we later brought to the filming of the show. We shot all the category heads with extras and placed the winning talent with props as they were enjoying the green room back stage. This was an amazing event that we taped background and behind the scenes style to create an elaborate night of crazy mayhem that lead to the line up. Keeping the feel of Jazz and Sinatra I kept the treatment clean and refined with a black and white look that was developed for each shot. Color palette was intentionally kept to reds, blues, and black and white so the look and feel of mayhem versus the cool party environment was in all aspects of the piece. We had several props and scenarios set up for the talent to come over and enjoy playing with to cause a disaster while they were getting ready backstage for their awards. The green room was turned into a cash vault which became the backdrop for our mayhem. The night was a spectacular success and all the talent loved their mug shots in front of the wall after stealing art, breaking stuff, cutting off fake fingers in a bet, and much more. I lead the team in shooting, editing, designing, and delivering a full show package as well as promotion art and graphics.
