The Cottage, formerly Kitchen & Bath Cottage is a high-end, innovative and multi-diverse home products retailer located in Shreveport, Louisiana; A locally-owned family business that was originally established in 2001 named Kitchen & Bath Cottage as an appliance and cabinetry business with one employee.
The company has incrementally expanded its offerings over its 18 year history to include a wide variety of home products which necessitated a rebranding in 2019 and a name change that was less restrictive and more reflective of its services and product availability.
Paying tribute to Celtic pendants known as the beautiful gifts that never fail to please, I took a Celtic key as inspiration for the new identity of the brand, which is now the key to a new door, the key to unlocking possibilities and the definite key to redefining your homes!
Embedded with emotions of connection and trust, the key is now the new face of The Cottage.

Projecting the narrative through the brand collateral, the front panel of the business card accredits the company consultant as the key to redefining your home.
The story follows as the flip side of the card takes you to an opening of your new or remodelled house. The entrance uses the concept of a Rehme Steel Door, a widely known and iconic product used by the company.
In the depth of the opening are listed, the brands and products that the customers can expect in their new homes.
The physical rendering of the cards uses raised spot glass to simulate the glass pane surface while the steel frame remains in the negatives as solid colour.
The Cottage decided to announce their new brand identity during the 2019 Parade of Homes tour at Twisted Oaks Shreveport. Bifold cards with the introductory message were handed out to guests during the event where the company proudly showcased its fabulous homes and innovative products.
A trifold layout was selected for the invitation cards of the tour that was cohosted by The Cottage and Terry Elston Builders.
