Static Image to 4K footage

About
For this short project, I continued applying my design skills of motion graphic to create a smooth transition from a static image into a 4K footage and with the intention to take my design knowledge to the next level, I once again challenged myself by using the same basics of my my past projects but a bit more challenging this time to see what outcome I would get from transforming a 2D or static photographic into a 3-dimensional space. For this particular project I played around with this static image, added effects and also a bit move from different angles of view with After Effects and purpose to show my how something which looks static could be transformed into motion
Shots of the Image being brushed in Photoshop
The Screenshots above shows the first step that was taken by importing this particular image and with the help of the brush tool in Photoshop I was able to brush between the dark and lighter areas or reflection of the lighter areas to create a displacement map for this image
Displacement Map of the Image
Displacement mapping is a powerful technique that allows a texture input, either procedural or an image, to manipulate the position of rendered background or faces. The displacement is controlled like a NOR map, a brighter texture will have a higher displacement. With my knowledge in Photoshop, I was able to combine and differentiate from the darker areas of the background image and the areas that lights reflects o  to create this displacement map. Below is the finished displaced map painted in Photoshop
Edits in After Effects
Finally Both the original photograph played with to get the outcome of the displacement map, I imported both into After Effects and with a few challenge edits with I kept using the transpose feature in the application rendered a footage from the the combination of the image and the displaced map
