Using nHair simulation to create underwater plants. 
nHairs were attatched to a nurbs plane and an nHair was used for the creature's body while the sections where turning into passive colliders which interacted with the hairs representing the plants. 
Using nCloth to deform clothing.
The shirt and scarf are nCloths which were constrained in strategic locations on the body in order to keep them from falling off while maintaining believeable secondary action.
