Urban Market Hall
This market hall, located in Chicago's developing West Loop neighborhood, is a centralized area for residents and visitors to gather, learn, and support one another. During the market's on-season, people will gather underneath an undulating roof structure to support local businesses and learn from one another. The enclosed portion of the market hall will provide limited vendors a space to continue their business during the colder seasons in Chicago. The open floor plan, populated with slender columns, creates endless opportunities for different programs such as neighborhood council meetings and extracurricular functions for students so that the site will be activated and known as a point of rendezvous.
