The Commuter — Movie Title Sequence

This movie title sequence was inspired by the action thriller movie, The Commuter. In order to give the viewer a sense of mystery, I went with a cut-out effect for the type. The lines that appear at all times in the background resembling train lines are cut-outs of the outline of the title at an enlarged scale. The title slowly diminishes in scale and the letters scramble until eventually the name of the movie is unfolded at the end of the sequence. The rapid movement behind the masked type is revealed as a train in motion by the sound that accompanies the changing type. I added an unsettling soundtrack to build up suspense and anxiety. At the end of the sequence, visuals of an explosion come through the cut-out title giving away the dangers the protagonists will encounter.
