Our class gave an assignment in which we each had to design three different logos for three imaginary businesses. This sort of graphic design I had done before, and I was looking forward to what else I could come up with. 

I started with a word list to generate ideas. We all had to come up with business names on our own. It's easy, just combine a noun with a sort of service business and viola- the creative juices get flowing. 

After some preliminary sketching, I made my first digital drafts.

These designs were embellished further and I started to come up with variations:

New ideas and shapes came to me as I worked, and at the deadline I had picked out the strongest ones from each of the three logos.

If you haven't guessed already, the businesses are: Bison Auto, Octopus Barber, and Lion Tailoring.
