For the first time in weeks, it rained here in Austin, TX. I didn't know it was supposed to rain tonight until my boyfriend showed me the weather. When it became dark outside, I opened my blinds in my bedroom and watched the rain as it began to fall. Throughout the storm we cuddled and watched the parking lot of my apartment complex rise with water. 

As it rained, I thought about checking the other side of the apartment through my kitchen window to watch the storm. To me, the view out the kitchen window was so interesting. It was filled with different shapes, objects, and colors. I had a bright, but maybe not so bright idea to go outside my door with my camera while it was lightning to catch this shot. In the end, I was not struck by lightning thankfully, but I felt good I got this interesting shot in the rainy night.
