Cecily Cardew Costume Design

Final design and working sketches for Cecily Cardew from “The Importance of Being Earnest” (Act 2). The designs feature women’s fashion elements from the late 18th century. The soft pink color of the dress depicts her innocent, childlike nature; And the pearl earrings and necklaces to indicate her desire to feel more mature. The tear drop embroidery was a part of the design I added to give Cecily the hint of sophisticated and almost regal tone she tried to give off when she was with the other characters, Gwendolen and Algernon. Made in Adobe Photoshop.
