My peice is a pelican in water with a sunset behind it. The water is blue and green and it looks swamp like. There is plants in the back of the water. The pelican is mostly white with some orange. The sunset goes from blue to people to orange. 

 

A principle in the drawing is contrast. the background has yellow and the water has blue which contrast. Also color and lines make the peice because it’s made out of color and lines. The emphasis in this peice is in the pelican because it’s the main focus pelican. 

 

I used these colors because pelicans are white and orange and water is green and blue. The sky is purple and orange because I wanted the sunset to be that color. The mood in this is happy because of the happy colors like yellow. Even though blue is perceived as a sad color, the blue here is happy. 

 

I don’t like the way i did the sunset. I think it should be darker or more blended or something. I like the way the water, plants, and pelican came out though.
