This is a promotional poster I designed for the A&E show Bates Motel featuring Norman Bates. This is part of series of Bates Motel pieces I am working on. The dark overtones on the show contributed to my inspiration for this work. Norman is partially hidden from the viewer, much like in his normal life where he hides from the world his true personality and thoughts while over his shoulder a man is burning. In the show this is a punishment, Norman believes very much in those who have done wrong in his eyes being punished for their misdeeds.
