Folktales of India - Animated film

This is a tale from Karnataka on why the sun and the sky are so far away.
It is an abridged version of the famous folktale sourced from A. K. Ramanujan's book,
"A Flowering Tree And Other Oral Tales from India", which teaches the perils of wanting something too much or too little, illustrated in a simplified and stylized rendition of the Mysore Traditional (Gesso) Art.

Folktales of India is a short animated series created by Trip Creative to showcase the rich variety of folktales from the Indian Subcontinent, realized with a folk art style from the region of the tale's origin.
Mysore painting is a style of classical South Indian painting that originated in and around Mysore in the state of Karnataka, which lies in the south western region of India.
The style follows a delicate process of using thin gold leaves and is known for its elegance, details and muted colors.
