Nature Patterns
Working at Hirosawa automotive trim, I had to rework and develop new patterns for future trends in the automotive world. Through research, I took items from nature that had a modern feel. Putting into a design, you would see on the interior of a car. Granite is a stone that is always on trend but changes throughout time. When designing this pattern, I wanted it to have an organic flow variating from light to dark. With the microscope woodgrain, I wanted to do something different. I was focusing on the D.N.A rather than the exterior of the design, keeping ahead of trends.

Sports Patterns
Through sports, I was able to develop and research textures and objects used within sports. I wanted to keep things modern and forward-thinking, creating patterns, and how I could transform them to be seen on an interior dashboard of a car. Using simple lines and common shapes seen in sportswear, I designed two patterns that provide energy and movement to represent sportswear without taking things too literal by forms, and textures already used within clothing design.
