Escritorio Pongo
“Escritorio Pongo” is a desk designed to integrate digital and analog methods of work on a single desk while keeping it simple with a minimal aesthetic.
The needs and constraints of a dedicated space of work has changed over the years (specially on the age of laptops and smartphones) but people still use some analog methods such as post-its although to a lesser extent. The aim was to integrate these elements with a minimal amount of parts and pieces.
All of decisions that took to design this desk were based on observations of different people from different contexts using standard desktops on a daily basis.
This desk is 100% assemblable and doesn't use any external glue or material, just wood and cork. All of those things are central elements of the brand for which it was designed, “Pongo muebles”, a Chilean furniture brand specialised in assembled furniture.
