KONE Infinite
My bachelor's degree project, a system of lighting frames to give the idea that the space inside an elevator is much more than the actual one.
The product idea was born from a workshop with the Finnish company KONE, one of the world's leading manufacturers of elevators, escalators and automatic doors.
I spent two months as an intern at the Italian headquarters in Pero (MI) and during this period I developed KONE Infinite in close collaboration with the company's professional figures.
The project consists of a cavity that exploits the principle of the Infinity Mirror to create an effect of depth and alleviate the symptoms of claustrophobia and anxiety related to the journey in the elevator for users affected by diseases of this type.
It is a product designed for a high target: high-end retail and hotel companies. The surface of the glass can also be laser-engraved according to the customer's needs for an unprecedented personalization and aesthetic result.
