The basis of this project was to plan a global sourcing strategy to reflect the framework and goals of the up and coming apparel company, Foxx & Mann. The strategy incorporates an analysis of five countries and their textile industries including: El Salvador, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. The strategy is further developed through supplier analysis, preliminary costing, country ranking, product placement, and comparison pricing.
Overall, our approach was to find countries and off-shore suppliers that offer our ideal quality at an effective cost, and who will adhere to the sourcing guidelines while measuring the risks, benefits, values and future potential with regard to Foxx & Mann.
This project was very research heavy and required a lot of team work to make it successful. The following, is a summary version that focuses on my contribution to the project. I focused on the research of the Philippines as a potential place of production, as well as designed the final written publication.
