John Battalgazi's profile

I took a few months out to study what my contemporaries are doing and practiced using various brushes. I found a happy medium. I use Procreate on the big IPad Pro. I use only my finger. I have yet to find a need for a stylus.
This is the final scene from Late Spring (1947) by Ozu Yasujiro. In the film he doesn’t cry but I did.

This is Ikiru (1952) by Kurosawa Akira. This image is the one that appears on most posters and DVD’s. It is also the scene that breaks your heart which is why I could think of no other scene to illustrate from one of my favourite films.

And finally Being There (1979) by Hal Ashby. This scene turns the entire film on its head. Up to now he is just an idiot who looks the part. Here he walks on water sparking a philosophical conundrum.
These are 3 scenes from films that I love. I will continue to produce more of these and hone my style a bit more.

Thanks to anyone who has read this far.
