A series of Korean folktales

After giving away all his money to the poor, a woodman on his way home found a gourd bowl floating on a stream.
He brought the gourd home and found out that whatever he put in the gourd, it was filled up to the brim. He and his family became rich very soon.

Then time passed and the woodman was about to pass away.
His children began to fight over the magic gourd, and then...

At dawn, a brainy but penniless traveler knocked on the door of a house of a rich man.
He asked for a night's stay and was allowed to stay in a guestroom. 
In the guestroom was another guest, an in-law of the rich man.

Then it was time for dinner, and two dinner tables were brought into the guestroom:
the first one with all kinds of delicious food, the next one only with salt and a bowl of cold rice.

The traveler snatched up the first table, saying, "Sorry, but I can't wait because I am starving." 

Then the rich man became angry and...

A man was so poor that almost nothing was left to eat.
His wife was just giving birth to a baby, but there was only a handful of flour remaining at the bottom of a jar. Angels of death came to take away the life of the wife, only to be scared away by the shocking appearance of the desperately poor man.

An old farmer who sold all his land gave all his money to a corrupt minister to buy himself a government post. The farmer waited for three years, but the minister did not deliver on his promise to give him a post. 

Angered, the farmer went back home empty handed. On his way back home, he got into trouble and somehow turned into a pig. After managing to recover his human form, he got an idea.
