About the Name
After decades of manufacturing silkscreened decals and signs, Corporate Decals needed a fresh approach to revitalize the business. Since the owner was a proud rugby-loving Aussie, it was decided to rename the company after the Redback Spider, famously from Australia. This fierce mascot was also the inspiration behind the slogan, "Put a little BITE in your marketing!"
 

About the Logo
Since the new company name came from the dangerous arachnid of Australia, it was decided that the visual design strategy of Redback Decals would focus on the distinctive black body and red stripe of the Redback Spider.
 

About the Brand Identity System
It was important to develop a comprehensive brand identity system to ensure that consistency was maintained. A clear style guide was created to ensure that colors and fonts were always strictly adhered to, in order to cement the new brand in the hearts and minds of the existing client base.
 

About the Campaign
Part of the new direction for the company was to branch out beyond decals and signs, and a growing revenue source was corporate promotional products. The concept of "Put a little BITE in your marketing!" was developed to communicate that Redback Decals was so much more than just a decal shop. Rather it was a one-stop-shop for all your marketing needs.
