This project began with the analysis of some Gothic cathedrals and the way that they were
built, specifically the cross vaults, which are common elements in the Gothic period. All
this in order to generate a piece of furniture.

It was decided to make a coffee table since the structure of the cross vaults is highly
resistant and stable, in addition it is a form that is not used to design tables. These were
the main reasons to apply this form in this type of furniture, a perfect mix between
functionality and aesthetic innovation.
