Here's a recent commission piece I worked on for a client. It depicts the Puck Fair festival. Which, is an annual three day festival in Killorglin Co. Kerry Ireland.

A goat is crowned King, lives in a tower for the weekend and thousands of people flock to the small town for much merriment and silliness into the wee hours. It's been going on for over 400 years and is an important date on the Kerry calender.

I was liberal with my interpretation of it of course, I wanted to get across some of the spirit, life and energy that surrounds the streets of Killorglin over the course of the weekend.
Original is A3 in size, fineliners & watercolours / gouache and it now resides in the UK with its new owners whom I thank for commissioning the piece and for their patience.
A photoshop mock up using reference pictures, sketches and stock photos develop the composition.
The sketch in progress.
Linework and painting in progress.
The guy getting a piggy back is the person whom this piece was commissioned for as a gift.
Thanks for viewing!
