Promotional piece for BASSAWARDS
An audio production that plays with a human touch

CASE STUDY
The organization of the BASSAWARDS (International awards of broadcast design) contacted us
to make a promotional piece for the festival, alongside Lobo.tv.
The visuals proposed by Lobo.tv offered a tribute to the work of Saul Bass. So we tried to imagine what we could compose if we had the instruments of that era. We collected some vinyl to extract breaks, wave generators, a spring reverb, trumpeter and bassist...we got down to work.
We wanted something with a Jazzy flavor but not jazz, something with effects, but were well
integrated with the music, some sounds similar to the first electronic music of the 50's, all treated
as a whole, and an "almost" perfect sync. I did not want to make all that happen in the picture, we did not want to be noticing the accuracy of computers. We liked that margin of "error" that gives a human touch.
