This is my 2006 Impreza STI

I really like the car, but the design or the bezel around the shifter boot has always bothered me. I could just take it off, or I could redesign it using the same skills I use at work every day.

After several revisions to the design, below is the Alias model.

The cars name is Suki, a Japanese name that loosely translates to love. 

Love is what makes a Subaru a Subaru after all.

I intend to have the part 3D printed by shapeways, but have not yet finished the B side of the model. The finish is still undecided although I would like to go with a Polished Gold Bullion finish if possible. The eventual plan is to make the color scheme for the car black and gold (nothing to do with sports teams, I just like color combo)

a small and simple project (that my not be to everyone's tastes) but a little way to use my skills to further my hobby rather then just my career.
