Goa Gil & Ariane - Trance Dance Initiation
This was, so far, the biggest (and deepest) canvas I've had the pleasure of working on.

On one side, the simplicity of shining light on a wind powered moving canopy created a very immersive full-field-of-vision effect.

On the other, leaving a patch of darkness in the middle for the laser to break apart through the leaves gives a somewhat confusing experience when viewed from the side, but quickly makes sense once you take place dead center (which is where you would usually find Mr. Kazuhiro Yamada carefully inspecting the performance of his sound system).
The whole process was a test of adaptability for everyone involved. We arrived on-site two days before the event with no concrete plan of what was supposed to happen. Tools were scarce and time was short. The generator got stuck en-route and only reached us on D-day, which meant no time to test the visuals and realize that two of the three projectors rented were broken, and one VGA input on the one that worked had a faulty red channel (which explains the blue-green color theme).
Footage from before the wind firmly convinced us to take down the deco.
Two led-strips were sacrificed to the appease the gods, but to no avail.
Lesson? Be flexible or be broken.
