Splash Page - Digital Design
This is a year 1 project that aims to explore raster oriented image software and acquisition techniques. The project assumes the use of Adobe Photoshop but the techniques and principles are transferable and relevant to a variety of software and equipment.
We were asked to choose one word from the supplied list for my theme. We need to design three portrait orientation splash screens based on a single theme.
The word I choose is SCATTER. I have created 3 images for my theme Scatter with 3 different types of techniques.
The first moment of scatter that I will be going for is when things are scattered around and sprinkles all over. My idea is using the double exposure effects to show my scatter image. “A bunch of confetti was pop out from the balloon and they are scatter around the air”. Imagine that this is a party full of balloons and colours. A balloon was shown as the main image where all confetti that scattering around the air was overlay on the main balloon image. You will see a double illusion where either the confetti is still in the balloon or they are scattering around the air.

The second moment of scatter that I will be doing are people are scattered around when all are moving in different directions. An image that showing how a busy street when everyone with the same colour of clothes or the same person is moving around in different directions. My idea for this image is using the fixed position composite where I have to shoot multiple images with the same model going different directions without giving my camera. Then the editing in photoshop will do the trick to show a same person is scattering in a busy street.

The third moment of scatter is a simple idea where a perfect image was disperse and particles scattered away. A dancer or a sports person will be the perfect model for this idea. I will be showing a jumping shot of either a ballerina, sportsperson or dancer in a simply plain background. By using the effect, Dispersion, will help me on getting the scattered particles out from the original image.
