Inspired by my young nephew's love of dinosaurs and sports, and in part my previous dreams of being a scientific illustrator.
Did you know that there isn't an actual complete fossil of the spinosaurus? All we have of the spinsosaurus is jaw fragments and some vertebrae with the large spines, and then scientists reconstructed the rest based on what we know from other specimens in the "Spinosauridae" family, most of which don't have giant spiny sails.
