Metals and Jewelry
Even though I'm an Industrial Design major I really enjoy taking classes that are outside ID. I took a metals and jewelry classes because I love working with metal like steel and aluminum but I wanted to broaden my skills and knowledge into other types of metal and find new applications for the knowledge I already had.
This is a sculptural piece of a gazelle that I made for our first project. It's made from brass and copper sheet, using only cold processes (with the exception of annealing for easier workability). Several processes and techniques were used on this little guy including; sawing, filing, hammer texturing, riveting, and applying a liver of sulfur patina. It was on display at the Metals and Jewelry building for a few weeks as well.

This is one of several 3D printed models I had to sand and paint for a contract job. Each model had atleast 5 colors of paint, and required both spray painting and hand painting.
This is another contract job (again NDA prohibits me for saying the company). I worked in a group with two of my peers, Ben Hastings and Ketch DeGabrielle. It's an appearance model and is made of pink foam, matte-board, paint, and plywood (with the store bought valve components).
