300th Anniversary of Robinson Crusoe
Full page Illustration for an article on Robinson Crusoe, being it's 300th anniversary this year. The New Atlantis Journal Fall 2019 issue.
The illustration idea was to communicate and depict the challenging morality and perspective the character faces in the story. His mirrored perspective on divine intervention through the events that happen to him and how it influences his understanding of life stranded on the island and beyond. The illustration displays Rorschach imagery filling the composition with divine elements and the duality of natural order and life. Illustrations were done in pen and ink, watercolor, and digital color.
Special thanks to Editor Samuel Matlack for the project and great collaboration.
