AGEING
The collection derives its inspiration from “ageing”. My color palette has varying shades of gray. The color symbolizes lifelessness. The skin over years, gets wrinkled, the hair grays, making us wise with every passing day. My footwear collection expresses the same in an abstract manner.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENTS
PRODUCTS
The skin over years, gets wrinkled which is portrayed by the batik on leather. The growing gray hair is symbolized by the thread tassels of black and gray color. The emerging white color of tie and dye shows the slow loss of zeal and life. The zipper symbolizes the jaw of death which becomes more prominent in that age. It also symbolizes restrictions, because the bark loses its bite and the body starts giving up. I have minimized the heel in all the three footwear and added extra cushioning to the insole to make it more comforting.
