Stay with Us and You Will Be a King

This is an illustration that depicts a playful scenes (for the mermaids, at least). Using the given words "anticipation" and "joyful", I combined the two words in a scene and story in which the joyful is applied for the mermaids and the anticipation is mostly applied to the viewers because of the cliffhanger tension between the driver and the mermaid.

The illustration was to be postcard size (5x7). I had a lot of fun doing the line art, especially coming up with the details like the candles with fish for flames.
