Indigo: Ocean Inspired Skincare Brand

Indigo: Ocean Inspired Skincare Brand
Indigo is a skincare brand that reflects the ocean-fun and beachy feeling of summertime. Indigo promotes being active, healthy and ocean friendly.

Indigo is created through a white space opportunity in the market. There was a need for a sustainable and youth brand in the American market. Indigo is very approachable and has quite a humorous tone with lots of ocean puns.

The chosen product I decided to create for this brand is a sunscreen. A new ingredient, seaweed will be used in the upcoming future to replace the harmful ingredients in existing sunscreens. Those harmful ingredients are currently harming both the ocean and our skin.

This project includes the secondary packaging design of the sunscreen compact, a design approaching sustainability (in the refill packs), and a design for the future approach on sustainable (in the refill packs).

Secondary packaging for the refill compacts. Front PDP and Back Panels. Instead of using a paper box, this plant based plastic pouch is lighter and easier to transport to lower the carbon footprint.
