Abraini Su filindeu_ Pasta luxury packaging

ABRAINI, SU FILINDEU
This is a student project for the pasta  'Su Filindeu'.
Su filindeu is the world’s rarest and the priciest pasta (at Euro $150 per kilogram) .
The English translation of its Italian name is “The threads of God.”
Su Filindeu is made by Sardinian for more than 300 years.
The recipe and technique have been passed down through Abraini’s family
The packaging is a reference to the packaging of many luxury brands, not just the packaging of Italian pasta. I always wanted to focus on the pattern and this traditional food of Italy give me a good opportunity.
I was inspired by the pattern of the Italian house and costume. I think they show their aesthetics in every aspect of their life. I am very fascinated with these patterns and I want to apply it to my packaging. The pattern on the package is inspired by the traditional kitchen of Italy.
This package is designed to open like a jewellery box. I added a delicate sticker on the front of the box to prevent the box from accidentally open during shipping. There is an envelope inside the box. The material in the box uses a hard colour scheme black paper to make a stable stray so that the packaging with the ingredients can be fixed in the middle position. At the same time, in order to unify the style, the same paper is used to make all the internal designs. The packaging of the ingredients and the letter in the envelope are using tracing paper. I hope to give customers different experiences through the texture of different papers.

In order not to affect the taste of the ingredients, I did not use any material with a strong smell such as super glue to make this box in order to keep it clean and odourless.
The message in the envelope and the food packaging uses tracing paper.
I want to show the effect of the ingredients through the semi-transparency of the tracing paper.
