On this page you can find the work I have put into our latest project. I hope you will enjoy seeing what I have made because I loved working on it a lot!
Animations
After Sid was done with the model and rig I was handed the job to animate it. Honestly this was the most fun to create this whole project. I learned a lot of things.
Because the hight of the jump could be adjusted by the devs I decided to devide the jump animation in three sections. The 'jump up', 'hover' and the 'landing'. This way they could be adjusted as much as they want.
Sadly. There were some things wrong with the model/rig. This made me have to figure out how to fix it all. Which made me loose a lot of time. At the end there was one problem I just could not fix. One of my friends, Veerle Brugman, tried to take a look. She said that it was basically best to re-rig everything. Because she knows how to do it really well she did it for me.
I am very grateful for her help. The only problem was that I had to animate everything again. But this time in one week. Luckily because I had animated everything before I knew what looked good.
Sadly I can only show you player 2's animation. I have made player 1's animation as well. But the render times were very long. This resulted in me not being able to finish all of the renders. I will post the renders when they are done so you can check them out. The good thing is that they have the same animation but then flipped.
Character Designs
To create these character designs I decided to take the small sketch I had made for the concept art. By creating silhouettes I looked for the most satisfying to look at.
Sid created the models in 3D.
Models of Props
These are the two models I made. Willem made the textures for them and was very nice and rendered them.
Prop Designs
Willem and I sketched the props to clear up the confusion about their designs. Willem sketched the food and I sketched the rest. I also created colour tests so we did not have to think about this in the future. This way we made sure you could see what goes with what. The glass waste got different textures in the end because in game it wasn't clear enough and it created confusion for the player.
Concepts and Concept Art
These are the concepts we came up with. We chose for concept number 2.
To visualize what we were trying to get across I made these illustrations.
For the title screen I made this sketch inbetween 3D animating so I could refresh my mind. Sem made the final render of the title screen.
Thanks for checking in! Hope you liked what you saw :)
