Above is a picture from a luxury product shoot I worked on as a group assignment. As a part of a fashion media and journalism workshop, we had to create a fashion and lifestyle tabloid. This is a photo shoot we did to create an advertisement for a versace perfume. I worked on styling and creating the set, backdrop and props (crystal beads, pouch) and tried to contribute my part at creatively conceiving the end image. With the busy photography labs, light equipment and deadlines approaching fast, we decided to resort to an empty bench for our shoot with the light available with some help from a phone torch placed at an angle. We wanted to give a vibe of luxury and elegance through the image. The colors are kept minimal and contrast high to help give focus to our luxury product. A foreground with crystals scattered has been used to give layers and depth to the photo.
