Every month Smashing magazine get designers to create calendar wallpapers that other people can download for free and use as their laptop/computer background. Me and Donna Hall thought it would be good to keep ourselves motivated over summer after the second year of our course had finished, so we designed one for August and September. Designers from all around the world submit their designs and only a few get chosen, we was really lucky as both our designs for each month got chosen! I thought this was brilliant and would be great to put into my portfolio.

 

The Calendar design for August was to reflect the olympics, we changed the team GB mascot into a super hero.

 

The Calendar design for September was to represent 'back to school' also September the 19th is national pirate speaking day, thats why we have drawn a pirate map. All the children are going from holiday island back to school island!
