Yellow Sky Over Hadley is a story about Sid and her journey realizing whats important in her life. Dealing with traumas and hardships in life is never easy, and for Sid, her determination and sheer will have left her stuck investigating a mystery from her youth. Sids unique surroundings and family craft this off beat adventure featuring a range of characters from aliens to a flat earther. Yellow Sky features many first time actors and was also the first short film for this director. 

This project was crafted over 2 semester. I (the director) started pre-production the first week of school and then premiered the film the last week of the school year. Due to weather and scheduling issues this film was shot over 4 days with a rotating crew (which presented its own challenge) along with a rotating set of gear. This film was shot on 5 different cameras, using 3 different DP's. The pre-production period was around a month and a half. We filmed on 4 different days spread over 2 and a half weeks. We spent an entire semester on post-production to really smooth out the final product and figure out some of the more difficult parts of this film that we had never attempted before (namely an entirely cgi open and ADR on large portions of the film). Finally we premiered at the end of the school year to positive feedback. Now we are off to even bigger and better projects, but this was truly a treat to work on over the last year.
