Overgrowth Appropriation Project

Overgrowth
Class project focusing on appropriation of images.
I decided to create new meaning for an image of a city and an image of tree inspectors. This piece comments on the growth of cities taking over our forests and land. I did this by overlapping the images so the only way to fully experience the piece is by using 3D glasses. The images can each be seen alone and then together again through the two-tone of the 3D glasses.
When looking through the blue image, the trees become more prominent, whereas the red will make the buildings more prominent. When looked at without glasses it shows the combination and overgrowth between the two environments.
The two source images I used when overlapping for the final project. B&W stylized.
