One thing I looked at when planning my poster was iconography (the visual images and symbols in a work of art)  and mise-en-scene (the arrangement of scenery or props in a work of art) when it comes to psychological thrillers which is the genre that my poster is mainly based in.

Iconography - 

I found that in a lot of psychological thrillers the main characters are men, something that my psychological thriller subverts from, I also found that a lot of masks are used which is why I decided to have the evil side of my main protagonist be shown with their face covered in the poster.

Mise-en-scene - 

With mise-en-scene I found that there was a lot of blood and creep locations often found in psychological thrillers and also the idea of isolation. This is mainly why I chose to include the church in my poster, I felt the idea of a creepy abandoned building might relate well to my film.
