Still Life Photography
When we shop for groceries, we tend to place them in the plastic bags based on categories – vegetables, canned foods, dry foods and frozen foods.
I incorporated the idea of how we organise our groceries as a means to visually symbolise different categories – gender, race, culture, and nationality. The plastic bag represents the idea of the subcultures being suffocated by the stereotypes, as plastic is a material that stops air from penetrating through.
