Transparency Project

The Process

In conversation with the team, the biggest focus of this and another project was the idea of recognizing and respecting one's differences. We also wanted to reference gender constructs and the variations of gender identity in the spectrum. Considering this is for an exhibition and is treated as a campaign, we decided to focus on messaging and visuals that aligned close to the prospected value this project would have on the community while addressing any pain points the target audience may face.

We believed the pain points were the following:
- Dehumanization of Transgender citizens and militia.
- Propaganda that leads to disfranchisement and further segregation.
- Not being able to express who one's identity is.

We also believed the value this exhibition provides is the following:
- Empowering the Transgender community to tell others who they are through the help of creative talent.
- Raising awareness of Trans Issues.
- Representing Transgender individuals as an asset rather than a burden.

Considering this, and after going through a short workshop defining the attributes of the project, the team began working on the Logo, Stylescape, and the Styleguide above.
Logo Designed by Jordan T. Robinson
Style Scapes Designed by Raia Meister.  Was later combined to form the styleguide made above.
